The end is in sight to New Zealand's iPod shortage.

Local Apple distributor Renaissance told New Zealand's Stuff magazine that new iPod stocks are due to reach the country in the next "seven to ten days".

Local reports confirm a "significant" amount of iPods are now on back-order, and New Zealand gets its stock from Apple Australia.

Local retailer Harvey Norman's general manager Luke Naish thinks iPods will have what he describes as a "stranglehold" on the market for the next few months, warning that competitors will catch up as they develop "street cred".
