Analyst dreams that Apple will release an Intel-powered Mac next month may be misplaced, with Taiwanese distributors claiming a June 6 launch date.
DigiTimes reports "sources" in Taiwan who say the new Intel-powered Macs will debut as iBooks, iMacs and Mac minis - but not until June 6.
Apple would only say it will release new products according to its original first half of 2006 promise.
Citigroup analyst Richard Gardner said Apple may launch its first Intel-based PowerBook at Macworld Expo San Francisco in January. Other recent rumours have suggested new Intel-powered Mac minis or even iBooks may appear at the show.
Apple's policy is not to comment on rumour or speculation.
