Symantec has released a public beta of Norton Utilities 7.0b for Mac OS X.

The beta contains Mac OS X versions of all the tools of the drive-maintenance suite, including an OS X native version of Norton Disk Doctor, FileSaver, UnErase and Scheduler.

The company is neither offering a warranty, nor providing technical support for the beta. The beta expires 30-days after the first run.

Additionally, the company is offering 25 free copies of the final version of Utilities for OS X to users who find and submit unidentified bugs, and 25 more to users who participate in the beta test.

The Norton Utilities 7.0 for Mac OS X Public Beta requires Mac OS X 10.1, a G3 processor, 128MB of RAM and 10MB of disk space. It's available for download from Symantec.
