Opera Software has released its third beta version of its Web browser, Opera 5.0.
The latest beta offers new features, increased stability, and user-friendliness, the company claims. New features include searchable bookmarks, autofill forms and the ability to upload files. A variety of bug fixes within the browser improve its stability.
Jon von Tetzchner, Opera Software's CEO, said: "We hope that many Mac users will download this new version and send us bug reports to tell us how we can make it even better."
This beta works with System 7.5.3 to Mac OS 9.2, and Mac OS X (in Classic mode).
It supports a wide variety of Worldwide Web Consortium standards, including Cascading Style Sheets, 128-bit encryption, Secure Socket Layers, Extensible Mark Up Language, HTML 4.0, WAP and more.
