Apple has released Mac OS X Server 10.2.6, an update which brings the company's Server OS in line with the most current version of its desktop operating system.

The update is available as both a stand-alone and Combo installer. The latter upgrades any installation running any version of 10.2 to 10.2.6.

Apple's release notes read: "The 10.2.6 Server update delivers enhanced functionality and improved reliability to the following applications, services and technologies: Mac OS Extended file system journaling; software RAID (Redundant Array of Inexpensive Disks); Fibre Channel and SCSI device support; AFP (Apple Filing Protocol); SMB (Server Message Block) and NFS (Node File System) file services; Print services; Apache, Mail; QuickTime Streaming Server; Open Directory; NetBoot; Network Install; and Workgroup Manager and Macintosh Manager.

The Combo update is a 103MB download. The OS X 10.2.5 to 10.2.6 updater is a 5.7MB download.
