Apple has released a 10.1.3 update to Mac OS X Server.

The 3.5MB file is available in English, German, French and Japanese. The release follows that of Mac OS X 10.1.3 this week.

In notes accompanying the update, Apple promises the update delivers new functionality and "improved reliability and performance".

The update introduces new Mail server SMTP-relay restriction options. It also offers improved reliability and performance of the following services under heavy load: Apple file services; Apache Web; Mail services and security fixes for FTP and the BSD Line Printer Daemon.

The update offers improved server administration of the following: SMB; printer sharing; WINS registration and improved System Clock accuracy.
