Australian resellers are expecting delays before Apple's newly-announced Power Mac G5s are in stock.

Apple ramped-up speeds for its Power Mac line two weeks ago, introducing 1.8GHz, 2.0GHz and 2.5GHz G5s.

But Australian resellers aren't convinced they'll ship soon in that country. Apple Centre director Ben Morgan told Australian Reseller News (ARN): "If there’s one constant in life it’s that there will be delays with any new Apple products. When the first G5s shipped, we waited over a month for the units. The same happened with the iBook and PowerBook lines."

He anticipates that product demand will exceed supply. Other local resellers agreed.
