A key pre-press company in Paris is the latest to turn to Apple's Xserves.
Prepress specialist Compos Juliot is using an Xserve running Enfocus PitStop Server to certify the many thousands of PDFs passing through the company.
According to networks and systems administrator Christine Bierre: "We’ve increased our productivity threefold”.
A case study on Apple's Hot News explains that since implementing the new system the company has been able to limit manual handling during the production document validation phase, "saving valuable time and a considerable amount of money".
Manufacturing manager Christian Nunes points out: "An effective solution like this Enfocus/Xserve combination only costs around £3,500, making it significantly cheaper than dedicated proprietary solutions."
