In a sign of the times, Apple's new iMac G5 wins a five star rating this month from US title, PC World.

"Apple has another design coup on its hands with the Apple iMac G5," the report proclaims, "Its clean, simple look - imagine if an iPod grew into a full-size, self-contained PC - exclaims 'It's about time they designed a computer like this'".

Within a slew of positive comment, PC World editors did find two faults: the inability to upgrade the graphics card, and the "built-in speakers don't deliver much bass".

Otherwise, the new desktop consumer Mac wins praise for its utility, functionality, quiet (under-a-whisper) operation, processor-power, design, screen, software and more.
