UK retailer PC World is selling FM transmitters for iPods across its stores - even though they can't legally be used in the UK just yet.

The Independent explains that PC World has decided to make the move because the company expects UK regulator Ofcom to finally declare such devices to be legal by autumn. As such, the retailer added the products to its shelves today, but will warn customers they are not for UK use.

PC World joins the likes of WH Smiths and Harrods who have been selling the iTrip in some stores for a while now, sources explained.

PC World is currenty selling a Belkin Tunecast II transmitter, but will add a Griffin Technology iTrip within weeks.
