Pipex is offering a deal to promote ADSL sales among Mac users.

The company is offering its Pipex Xtreme Solo2Go pack at a discount price: £23.44 (including VAT). The solution makes BT lines compatible with Pipex's service, and includes a free Alcatel SpeedTouch 330 USB cable modem.

The company is also offering existing users of rival ADSL services a discount - with free activation (normally £50 excluding VAT) and a month's free subscription (£19.95 excluding VAT).

Pipex Xtreme customers get up to 12 email accounts, 50MB of Web space and connection to one of the world's largest Internet backbones. Technical support is provided by a dedicated team for the price of a local-rate telephone call.

The minimum contract period is one month, but customers taking advantage of this offer who leave the service during their first 12 months will be liable to a £58.75 termination fee. The free month's subscription is automatically given by not billing the third monthly payment.
