Following a successful UK podcasting trade event, a similar show takes place in Ontario, in California between November 11-12.

Attendees will discuss music licensing and copyrights, advertising and subscription business models, using podcasts as a marketing tool, and audio and video search.

"Podcasters may produce audio and video content on very different subjects, but many of the business and legal issues they face are the same. The Portable Media Expo and Podcasting Conference offers the opportunity for everyone to come together and discuss these common opportunities and challenges," said Tim Bourquin, Founder of TNC New Media, organiser of the event.

The conference features a combination of keynotes, expert panel discussions, step-by-step "how to" sessions, and audience participation.

Keynote addresses will be delivered by: Mike Trainor, chief mobile technology evangelist, Intel; Don Katz, CEO, Audible; Jason Calacanis, CEO, Weblogs; MTV UK vice president Angel Gambino; and podcaster Leo Laporte.

Sponsors and media partners include Audible, Cnet, iLounge and others.
