Quanta Computer expects to set a new revenue record for its performance in March, reports Taiwanese IT news Web site, DigiTimes.

Quanta is Taiwan's largest notebook-computer manufacturer. It builds the new iMac for Apple and expects to benefit from the solving of component problems that have hampered its production so far, the report claims.

Apple was unable to provide Quanta with a stable source of panels – so the company's iMac shipments were much lower than expected – this caused analysts to downgrade their forecasts for the firm's performance, the report explains.

It's also claimed that Quanta has experienced problems assembling the stand that supports the iMac's 15-inch monitor.

The company now expects to ship 430,000 units in March – including the notebook computers it manufactures for HP and Dell.
