Quark's forward-thinking new CEO Kamar Aulakh continues to lead the company to becoming customer-focused.

"We want to listen to the customer about the issues," Aulakh said. "We want to show that our strategy is in line with their interests," he told the Denver Post.

He explained that the company's prior success had transformed it into an inward-focused technology company. "Sometimes when you are successful, you lose touch with the customer," he observed.

To reach out to customers, the company has initiated a series of “Let’s Talk” meetings with customers across the world and will present its annual Quark summit this June.

The report observes that Quark continues to lose customers to Adobe. In an attempt to quell the emigration, the company has opened offices in New York, London, Paris and Hamburg; and introduced more favourable licensing and customer support services.
