The Rapid Group has announced its next free photography and design workshop, scheduled for October 26 2004.

The company has also announced two separate fee-based training days in Photoshop and Creative Suite in November.

The free event takes place first in Bournemouth at the Connaught Hotel between 10.30 and 17.30 that day.

Rapid has developed its workshop specifically for photographers, designers and anyone producing images for print. Attendees can expect to meet representatives from Adobe, Apple, Epson, HP, Fuji-Film, Canon, Extensis, The Colour Collective and others.

Photography-focused sessions will offer advice on using RAW files, image workflow and image processing; also using OS X applications to create slide shows and presentations.

Additional sessions will look at Web publishing using Portfolio, and the digital workflow; colour management and ICC profiles; Adobe Acrobat; InDesign versus Quark and Mac OS X and Xserve technologies. The latest imaging products will also be on display. Register online, space is strictly limited.

Advanced fee-based training at good prices

The Photoshop and Creative Suite training days are led by industry expert Guy Gowan, and promise the chance to learn new techniques.

Attendees will get a free CD with sample tutorials published by Guy Gowan. Details of these events follow:
