Real Software has released REALbasic 2.1.2, the new version of its development tool for the Mac.

REALbasic was instrumental in the making of Aladdin Systems IntelliNews application, and Internet Explorer 5 Macintosh Edition. Jimmy Grewal, Internet Explorer Macintosh product manager, said: "The rapid development capabilities of REALbasic have made it a winner to Microsoft."

The company has also announced a technology preview of REALbasic, which runs on Mac OS X, and compiles completely Carbon applications.

REALbasic 2.1.2 release fixes several bugs, and is available for download from Real Software’s Web site.
