RealNetworks is to unveil a free beta of RealPlayer 10 for OS X on Wednesday June 30.

The company says RealPlayer 10 will allow OS X users to "enjoy hundreds of hours of audio and video content in many of the major Internet media formats, including RealAudio, RealVideo, AAC, QuickTime and MPEG."

RealNetworks chief strategy officer Richard Wolpert said: " RealPlayer for OS X is our best Mac player yet. Mac users now have a familiar, fun and intuitive RealPlayer for accessing both free and subscription content including our popular RadioPass and SuperPass services."

Also included in the beta are an integrated browser window, advanced video controls and graphic equalizer, integrated browser, and support for Rendezvous.

RealNetworks also released its Real Export Plug-in for Mac. A free download, it enables Mac-based content creators to create RealAudio 10 and RealVideo 10 content from OS X media applications, says the company.
