Macworld Expo, New York, promises to break attendance and exhibitor records as the largest East Coast expo in Apple's history, according to the shows organizers.

Rob Scheschareg, spokesman for IDG World Expo, which runs the show, says: "Pre-registration of attendees to the show is considerably higher than at the same time last year, and booth space is virtually sold out."

The organizers also expect a good balance between consumer and professional users at the show. Over 400 exhibitors are expected at the show, which runs July 18-21 at the Jacob Javits Center, New York.
