Scottish developer Runtime Revolution and Derbrill Software has released Arcade Engine 2.0 for OS X and Windows.

Arcade Engine helps add arcade and simulation features to Revolution's rich media application development tools.

The new version of the application adds features for games developers, including motion effects, isometric drawing, better 3D and collision behaviour handling, and improved documentation.

The Runtime Revolution development environment can produce software for all major operating systems: Mac OS X, Windows, Linux and Solaris.

Arcade Engine 2.0 costs $49 or $25 to upgrade from Arcade Engine 1.x. Anyone who purchased Arcade Engine 1.x after February 1, 2006 can get a free upgrade.
