Napster parent-company Roxio expects its first-quarter financial results to exceed previous estimates, the company announced this week.

The company will report its results after the markets close on August 9 at 4.30pm (ET), 9.30pm (BST). Company president and CEO Chris Gorog and chief financial officer Nand Gangwani will present the results.

The company expects to end the quarter with cash balances of approximately $63 million, also ahead of guidance.

The company's stock currently stands at $4.25, down 25 cents on yesterday's trading.
