Apple may plan to release 15.4-inch MacBook models by May 2007, a report declares.

According to the industry-watchers at DigiTimes, Apple has contracted Foxconn Electronics to manufacture the new MacBooks - the move means Asustek will no longer be sole MacBook supplier to Apple.

The report also cites an analyst who claims Foxconn will begin volume shipments of one new model by the end of the year.

"Asustek was the sole supplier for 13.3-inch MacBooks in 2006, with the monthly shipment volume for the segment reaching 200,000 units," the report claims, citing "sources".
