A report claims Foxconn is to manufacture new MacBooks for Apple.

Citing China's Commercial Times, DigiTimes reports that Foxconn will "start volume shipments of one new MacBook model" by the end of the year.

The original report apparently cites a Credit Lyonnais Securities analyst for the claims.

The hiring of Foxconn as a supplier is likely to impact against Asustek, which currently manufactures notebooks for Apple, the short report explains.
