Warnings of a new Safari vulnerability have emerged.
The flaw affects the Mac OS X graphics display engine, ImageIO. The effect of the bug is that Safari and other system applications that use ImageIO (such as the Finder) will crash if you visit specific websites.
The problem only affects Mac OS X 10.4, so surfers using a Mac and an alternate browser are not affected, a report on DrunkenBlog and carried by MacNN says.
The DrunkenBlog report crashes Safari.
Apple is aware of the problem.
