Unsanity has released free software for Apple's Safari Web browser.

The software remedies a common complaint that Safari offers only a 60-second request time-out. This means that, when asked to access data held on a server over the Web, Safari ceases attempts to download that data if it receives no information after a 60 second wait.

This means that many database-driven Web sites and other pages fail to load. Unsanity's SafariNoTimeout software lets users change the connection request timeout in Safari to a different value.

SafariNoTimeout is available for download from VersionTracker.
