Apple VP Phil Schiller is to step into Apple CEO Steve Jobs' shoes (and possibly his black polo neck and jeans) to kick off this year's Apple Expo with a keynote address.
Schiller will deliver the opening keynote address at Apple Expo 2004 in Paris on Tuesday, August 31. The keynote will take place at the Palais des Congrès from 10am CET. It is anticipated that Apple may reveal the new iMac at the event.
Jobs is taking time of work to recover from surgery to remove a cancerous tumour from his pancreas. Although the condition is not life threatening, Jobs does not expect to return to work at Apple until September. During his absence, Apple is being run by executive vice president of worldwide sales and operations Timothy Cook.
It is necessary to register to attend the keynote at the Apple Expo Web site.
