Seagate Technology has revealed a host of new solutions for Mac users, including Mac support within its Mirra network backup system.

The Mirra Sync and Share Personal Server is a network-attached storage system available in either 250GB or 400GB capacities. The solution now supports both Mac and PC, and lets users access files and content remotely online and across local networks.

The solution archives data on networked computers using software that is now Mac-friendly (including Intel Macs). Users just need to select which folders matter to them, and the software will archive them. It will maintain up to eight versions of a selected folder, so users can roll back to the data they want to get.

The company claims the system allows remote access to digital content from anywhere, at any time using the internet. It offers content-protection features and free online user accounts allowing secure remote access and file sharing with family, friends and colleagues.

The company has also introduced an 8GB USB 2.0 Seagate Pocket Drive, and a 750GB external hard drive (which ships with backup software).
