Aspyr has released an update for The Sims: Superstar expansion pack.

The update for the expansion set for the biggest-selling Mac game is available for download from several locations.

The Superstar 2.8.1 updater fixes a number of bugs, and also delivers support for file names of over 31 characters. It also lets users pause the game using Cmd-P, which did not operate correctly before, and fixes a "sound booth crash", in which the game would occasionally crash when Sims characters were mixing tracks in the game's sound studio.

Superstar was the penultimate expansion set for the game. The pack costs £30, while The Sims proper costs £39.99.

Macworld UK called The Sims Superstar: " A humorous and well-executed add-on that massively enhances the game, restoring interest in the Sims once again."
