Mac game publisher Aspyr Media has announced that it will bring Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2, a skateboarding game, to the Mac this year.

First developed by Nersoft and Grey Matter, the game was published for PC by Activision. The Mac version joins other platform conversions including the PlayStation, GameBoy Color and Sega Dreamcast.

The game takes virtual skaters to legendary skating spots across the world.

The Mac version of the game will feature all the levels of the original title and a choice of playing 12 characters – including Tony Hawk himself. Virtual skaters can also be built from the ground-up.

Tricks include tailslides, bluntsides, varial flip, expanded inverts, lip tricks, nollies and manuals, with realistic crash animations, according to Aspyr.

Prices for the Macintosh platform have yet to be released.
