Apple will attend Visa pour l'Image, a show for photojournalists that is being held in France from September 1-6.

Apple will demonstrate PowerBooks G4s running a selection of leading image-editing applications, and also promises daily seminars.

Reports from resellers indicate there is a shortage of PowerBooks. The range has not been updated since January, and the speculation is that Apple is preparing to re-vamp the range. Some reports suggest that this move has been hampered by processor supply problems, with the chip company rumoured to be Motorola.

Mac users in Europe are also preparing for the next major Apple event in the calendar – Apple Expo Paris. The show runs from September 16-20, and opens with a keynote speech at the Palais des Congres at 10am (9am BST) on September 16. The keynote speaker has not yet been revealed.
