Apple is replacing the logic boards in some faulty MacBook Pros.

A report on MacNN explains that Apple is replacing the boards in some notebooks that are undergoing repair at Apple Authorised Service Providers.

The new board is of "equal functionality" to the original, but requires Mac OS X 10.4.6, the report explains.

The move is seen as Apple's response to some problems identified among the first batch of MacBook Pros it bought to market.
