In related news, Apple is rumoured to have ended its relationship with world-wide Emagic distributors.

AppleInsider is reporting that Apple has terminated its relationship with distributors of the Logic software, leading to claims of foul play.

According to the report: "Apple this month began sending letters to its world-wide Emagic software distributors, informing them that their services would no longer be required."

Apple purchased Emagic in 2001. The company has since run the division, which created the Logic music production software, as a subsidiary, in much the same way as it runs FileMaker.

However, UK Emagic resellers told Macworld UK that Apple UK has not made any moves to end its relationship with them.
