Symantec will this week launch a bootable CD that supports Mac OS X on Macs that are released this year.

The CD will be made available through Symantec's customer service, or by using the disk-replacement form in the boxed product.

The current shipping versions of Norton Utilities 6.0 for Macintosh, Norton SystemWorks for Macintosh, Norton AntiVirus 7.0 for Macintosh, and Norton Internet Security for Macintosh support Mac OS X via the products' bootable CD and will work with Macintosh computers released before 2001 as well as with the 2001 Titanium PowerBooks.

Norton Utilities 6.0 costs £68, Norton AntiVirus 7.0 is £51. Norton products are distributed by Computers Unlimited (020 8358 5857).
