Virtual Programming is porting Cognitoy's robot-car game, MindRover – The Europa Project, to the Mac.

In MindRover, players program vehicles known as Rovers, and enter them into competitions that take place in a 3D space station.

The port will be made using Coderus' MacDX solution – announced exclusively by Macworld in April.

MacDX brings DirectX support to the Mac. DirectX is a suite of multimedia Application Program Interfaces built-into Windows operating systems.

A standard development tool for Windows-based software, the technology offers access to specialized hardware features without needing to write hardware-specific code.

The solution allows games and other apps built with DirectX to be ported to the Mac faster.
