Blue Abuse - a showcase of QuickTime tutorials - has been launched by Totally Hip Software.

The company plans to post tutorials on how to use QuickTime, Apple's multimedia standard, until the end of the year.

One of the tutorials currently featured online is a step-by-step guide to creating QuickTime "media skins". Media skins allow movies to be displayed without the standard QuickTime controllers.

David Gratton, Totally Hip's vice president of marketing and sales, told MacCentral: "Our goal is to promote the interactive QuickTime community by showing what is possible.

"We encourage everyone who has projects or sites they would like to get a profile on to get in touch with us at Blue Abuse."
