UBS analysts believe Apple could sell over 10 million iPods in the next three months - and predict a possible video iPod by Christmas.

Calling meetings with Asian manufacturers who create products for Apple "very positive", the analysts expressed optimism about Apple's product plans and predicted continued solid demand for Mac notebooks.

But it's iPod that's winning analysts over: "The checks revealed a potential for iPod sales to exceed 10 million in the fourth quarter," Forbes writes.

As rumours positing a video iPod grow in intensity from contacts within the music and the technology industries, Wall Street's analysts add fuel to the fire: "We continue to believe that Apple could do more in terms of multimedia offerings into the year-end," the firm said, according to Forbes.
