UK company MousePower showcased the CD Factory - a software distribution system featuring a touch screen iMac - and announced Phase Two of its distribution project at Milia, the multimedia show, this week.

The system is currently being piloted in various WH Smith stores in the UK. The CD Factory is a customer advice point where users can choose CDs, create a label and inlay, and then a member of staff burns the CD.

Phase Two of the project will include the minor modifications needed to offer audio CDs, DVDs and books. MousePower is also taking the project to France and the US.

According to the company, the CD Factory was the first project of its kind to use a touch screen version of the iMac - iKiosk - which is manufactured by Touch Screen Systems based in Abingdon.
