Wolfson Microelectronics – the company that manufactures chips for use in Apple's iPod and Microsoft's Xbox – is hiring.

The company hopes to recruit 80 engineers this year, increasing its staff to 250 souls. But the company's expansion plans have hit a snag, The Scotsman reports: "It's difficult to get experienced design engineers in Scotland," said company CEO David Milne.

The company is seeking staff across a broad range of skills: engineers, designers, sales and marketing. The majority of the new jobs will be based in Scotland.
