While its music download service is available only in the US, Apple and the major music labels are continuing to experiment with new ways to add value to the iTunes Music Store service.

US ska-punk band Less Than Jake is releasing an EP exclusively through the service. It was even recorded in a live session at an Apple Store.

Less Than Jake appeared live at the opening of Apple's Santa Monica California store on July 11. They delivered their first live acoustic set, featuring four songs: Suburban Myth, The Ghosts of You and Me, History of a Boring Town and Welcome to the New South. The tracks are available exclusively from the Apple Store as part of the Less Than Jake – Live From the Apple Store EP.

A video of the band's live performance will also be made available in QuickTime format later today.
