Microsoft has delivered a patch to repair an issue that affected some G5 Macs running Virtual PC 7.

The flaw only affected those G5 Macs with over 2GB of memory installed. The update is available for download from Microsoft's site. The PC emulator wouldn't run on such Macs, a "fatal error" would crash the application.

Virtual PC 7 with Windows XP Home is scheduled for release later this month, while Virtual PC for Mac Version 7 with Windows 2000 Professional, Standalone, and Upgrade Editions were recently released to manufacturing.

Microsoft also released a new update - MAU 1.1.2, which corrects errors in the French, Swedish and Spanish versions of Microsoft Auto Update.
