Apple has won the argument in digital music - at least according to Wal-Mart senior VP Jay Fitzsimmons.
AppleInsider reports his conference with investors, in which he described "good sales" on the Friday following the US Thanksgiving festival last week. In the US that Friday is referred to a 'Black Friday", and is seen as a key barometer of consumer confidence.
Wal-Mart changed its product mix this year, and now carries iPods on its shelves.
He said that Wal-Mart failed to carry iPods last year because of a "philosophical argument" with Apple. The US retail giant wanted the computer company to support more digital music services than just iTunes.
"Jobs won, we lost. Now we have nanos in the stores," Fitzsimmons said.
