HP has no plans to make its version of Apple's iPod available in the UK "at the moment", company sources confirmed this morning.

Meanwhile in the US, HP's licensed product has risen to become the second biggest-selling music player in the country - after the Apple iPod. HP sells 20GB and 40GB iPods in the US, though these are covered by 12-months free warranty.

Speaking in August, HP chairman and CEO, Carly Fiorina said: "At the Consumer Electronics Show in January, we said the real digital revolution was not just about gizmos and gadgets - it was about making the whole system work better together."
