Apple may be closer to delivering a Window version of iTunes than many believe, if an IT website is to be believed.
A post on Geeknewz.com offers a link to what it claims to be an alpha build of Apple's iTunes Windows port. However, the alpha has no built-in data to confirm the software comes from an Apple developer, and the posting could well be a hoax.
Macworld tested the software on a Windows XP PC. Although the application started up it failed to play MP3s in tests. It does however offer the familiar iTunes Aqua interface.
Notes accompanying the software claim it supports: "Drag-&-Drop MP3 songs to the main list; Add files through menu; skip forward/backward; Shuffle and Repeat options; adjust volume; Use "+" button to Add MP3 files to list.
