Kristin Lee, designer of the Aqua interface implementation in ScanWizard Pro 7.0, and project manager for the product, explained: “Apple’s Aqua interface brings graphics capabilities to OS X beyond anything ever seen in a desktop operating system.
“My design goal was to ensure the integrity of Apple’s Aqua interface guidelines in ScanWizard Pro 7.0’s user interface. Working closely with Apple, I was able to submit concepts to its Worldwide Developer Relations group, who provided valuable input and direction during the design process. The thrust of our re-design was to fully support Apple and the Mac community.”
ScanWizard Pro 7.0 is available as a stand-alone application. A beta version of a Photoshop 7.0 plug-in is currently going through testing. ScanWizard Pro 7.0 currently supports Microtek’s ScanMaker 8700 series of scanners, a preliminary ScanWizard Pro 7.0 release schedule for the rest of Microtek’s range is available online.
