Econ Technologies will release ChronoSync, its Mac OS X file-management and backup solution on February 8.

The $19.95 application will synchronize Macs on a network, run simple backups and can synchronize networked Macs.

ChronoSync lets Macintosh users designate one or more files or folders to be synchronized. It also permits files to be synchronized between fixed hard drives, removable media, file servers or other Macs. Synchronization may be automated.

Rules can be applied to the files to be synchronized - they can be selected by name, size, date, extension and a variety of other options. There's also a trial mode, this lets users preview and modify synchronizations before they occur. The solution also supports AppleScript to automate the process even further.

A demo version of ChronoSync will also be made available on February 8.
