Apple has released a software solution to let OS X users import emails into the email application that ships with its newly released operating system.

The solution consists of a collection of downloadable AppleScripts that will import email from Outlook Express 5 or later, Microsoft Office 2000's Entourage, Claris Email 2.0 or later, Eudora 5.x and Netscape Communicator 4.0 or later.

The scripts have not been tested with older versions of these popular email applications. The importation can be made in Mac OS X's Classic environment, or in OS 9.1. Apple warns that the process requires at least 128MB RAM to be installed in the Mac.
