Apple has released Xserve RAID Admin Tools 1.2 for Mac OS X 10.2.8 or later.

The software offers a number of fixes for Apple's server admin tools, along with new features and "improved reliability for monitoring and management of your Xserve RAID", Apple says.

The major enhancements according to Apple are:

Slicing of RAID arrays; expansion of existing RAID arrays by adding drives; rebuilding of RAID array parity data; verification of RAID array parity data; option to disable "public" SNMP access; addition of "From" header to notification emails; DHCP re-negotiation on loss of link when moved to a different sub-net; battery module controlled charging and discharging to extend battery life; allow access to both controllers even if controller passwords are mismatched; Java 1.4.1 support; fixed possible RAID Controller hang under exceptionally high loads with small I/O transactions.
