Veteran Adobe developer Mark Hamburg has quit firm for Microsoft job
A leading Photoshop software developer has quit Adobe for a new post at competing software developer, Microsoft.
Programmer Mark Hamburg is a Photoshop veteran who has been involved in development of the industry standard imaging application since version 2.0. Hamburg also led development of Photoshop Lightroom.
The developer is leaving Adobe to take on a new role at Microsoft, working within that company’s user experience division, which includes work on the Expression design and Silverlight applications, a report claims.
Hamburg was named inventor of the year by the Silicon Valley Intellectual Property Law Association in 1999 and entered the National Association of Photoshop Professionals' Hall of Fame in 2003.
