Mon, 13 Jul 2009 ShotPut Pro gains tapeless video workflow archiving solution
The entire offloading and archival process is automatic and hands-free says Primera
ShotPut Pro, a software solution for offloading any digital media card, has teamed with Primera Technology to ease the archival of digital video content.
Video professionals can now streamline their workflow and automatically archive content onto write-once DVD and Blu-ray Disc media using Imagine’s software and a Primera DP- or XR-Series Disc Publisher.
The entire offloading and archival process is automatic and hands-free says Primera.
As soon as a video volume is detected, an offload is started to multiple drive locations, which can include hard drives and a DP or XR-Series Disc Publisher.
The burned disc is printed direct-to-disc with customized information that can include Metadata directly from the camera’s memory card.
ShotPut Pro works with digital media cards including Panasonic P2, AVCHD, Sony SxS, RED ONE, Compact Flash, SD and others. ShotPut Pro costs $89, around £55.
ShotPut Pro requires Mac OS X 10.4 or higher, Intel or PowerPC. A Windows XP/Vista version is also available.
