Silver Seal Keyboard review
We’ve all done it – the phone rings and as you reach forward to pick it up you accidentally tip a cup of coffee or a can of Coke all over your keyboard. Then when you try to rinse it off the keyboard gets damp and some of the keys stop working.
Well, worry no more – because this keyboard is so totally waterproof that the manufacturer, Seal Shield, says you can even stick it in the dishwater without damaging it. It sports a ‘silver seal’ coating – a layer of silver ions that inhibit the growth of bacteria, so it’s a good choice for hospitals and other environments where cleanliness is an important factor.
The Waterproof Keyboard is designed mainly for PCs, so it has Windows and Alt keys rather than the Mac’s Alt and Command keys, but you can reconfigure these using the keyboard controls in your Mac’s System Preferences.
