Choroka K2 laptop bag

This messenger-style bag doesn’t win any points for looks – it’s a very baggy and dowdy messenger-style bag, to the point where it looks formless – but it scores very highly on practicality.

Ixopo laptop bag

The Knomo Ixopo is not quite a budget accessory, but then it does ooze quality and sophistication. It’s a surprisingly light carry-on sized bag with subtly rounded rectangular lines. Finished in high-quality leather and chunky metal tags it’s the perfect accessory for strolling up to the front of the check-in queue on your way to business class five minutes before take-off.

Double Charge laptop bag

Crumpler’s enthusiastic marketing on the website, which features a machine-gun-toting women riding a pig, certainly gives it a distinctive presence. But in the end it’s about the bag, and, unfortunately, the Double Charge disappoints.

LeVertigo laptop bag

The LeVertigo is light and offers a wide fold-over flap that makes access easy, and should also provide some protection against rain. The styling is attractive, although the extrovert light-blue-and-grey version could be a bit bright for Monday mornings. An alternative Black Pearl edition is an extra fiver.

Messenger, Ladies Case, Backpack  Group review

>> Messenger, Ladies Case, Backpack, Zero Shock

Laptops are expected to outperform desktop sales in 2006 – especially with the arrival of Apple’s MacBook Pro and forthcoming MacBook (Intel-processor iBook successor expected in the next few months). If you plan on taking advantage of the laptop’s mobility, you need a decent carry case.

Folee XM

The Booq Folee XM is by any measure an expensive bag. Like Apple equipment it proclaims that it was designed in California (but made in China).

Easy Presenter

Wireless remotes let you roam freely and switch slides while you’re giving presentations on your Mac, but you still have to put your hands on the computer if you want to change the volume or darken the screen.
